“Head in the Clouds” is a digital painting that explores the concept of an alter ego. She’s calm, confident and content. She believes in herself and in her dreams. Her right hand gestures towards the bright side. Behind the clouds, there is mystery and potential.

As an artist, I experience self-doubt nearly all the time. And although it’s healthy to be self-critical, it can be crippling sometimes. So when fear starts to get in the way, I have to sort of let this alter ego take over, find the guts to keep working, shut down any negative self-talk, and just enjoy the process.
